Young Dancers

No matter your age, dance is one of the best ways to keep fit and have fun at the same time. We have classes to help young movers express themselves, learn new skills and bond with parents and friends.

Tots and Tummy Time, 0-18m
Thursdays, 11:15-12:00 (drop-in)
Join us for a class which will support development through sensory play and gentle movement, giving our very youngest dancers and their grown-ups a chance to have fun playing, bonding, and moving together. This class is perfect for babies who are not yet walking, up to 18 months. Bring your sling and we'll all dance together! Led by Emma Smith.

Dance n' Play, 18months +
Wednesdays, 9:30-10:15 (drop-in)
Jump and stomp to start your day the right way! Using songs, movement and play, you can move freely and expressively in this fun and energetic class for carers and children. Working together you will stomp, jump, wriggle and giggle, helping young dancers to develop important skills such as balance, coordination and confidence in a creative and imaginative way. Led by Jo Jeffries.

Mini Dance Academy, P1-3
Wednesdays, 16:00-16:45 (drop-in)
Our creative classes will provide an introduction to a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. Learning basic technical exercises and short routines will allow the young dancers to explore their creativity whilst developing their confidence, performance skills and musicality. Led by Linsey McEwan.

Aerial, ages 8-10
Saturdays, 13:30-14:30 (course option only)
Hang, climb, swing and fly your way through aerial skills! Using aerial kit such as silks, hoop and trapeze, our class will help you learn and explore aerial dance techniques working towards developing sequences, tricks and choreography linking the air to the floor. Led by All or Nothing.
