Wellbeing and Workout

Whether you want to come along to a Dance Base to improve your health and wellbeing, or simply to have some fun, our Wellbeing and Workout class have a style to suit you. We have yoga and Pilates classes available as a drop-in or a course, with morning and evening classes throughout the week.

Dance is known to be one of the greatest forms of fitness, so if you hate cardio but love to dance, we have a solution for you! Our fitness-focused classes will help keep you strong and active without evening feeling like a workout.


Dance Workout
Mondays, 17:30-18:30 (course or drop-in)
Join us for a fun, dynamic, dance workout and unwind from your day, leaving stronger, healthier and happier! Learn routines set to a variety of music styles including pop, disco and musical theatre. Our classes offer lively choreography suitable for all levels. We’ll help you improve cardio fitness, coordination, agility and flexibility. This course is led by Lindsey Cheyne.

Begin your day with a dose of curiosity, new movement and surprising developments in the way that you understand yourself. The genius of Feldenkrais is that it inspires you to think differently, not just about how you move, but about how you relate to the world around you. Led by Alan Craig Wilson.

Pilates Beginners
Tuesdays, 18:00-19:00 (course or drop-in)
Whatever your movement goals are, you are most welcome in this class. This beginners course will cover the basics of Pilates, developing your strength, mobility and body awareness, in a welcoming, light-hearted environment. You will leave the studio energised, with a spring in your step and the satisfaction of a body and mind well worked. Led by Amy Robertson.

Taking time for an online Pilates class is the perfect way to start your day. Anna Noonan joins us live from New Zealand to lead a mat session that will help you to build body awareness and strength while increasing freedom of movement, developing control, coordination and beautiful alignment. Led by Anna Noonan.

Werk It
Wednesdays, 17:30-18:30 (course or drop-in)
Get fit, get sweaty, and feel truly alive!
Our cardio-based class will help you strengthen your core. This is a dance-focused exercise class with street style moves, awesome music and a whole lot of sass. Wear comfortable clothes and bring buckets of water. Get ready to WERK IT! Led by Jo Richards.

Retro Dance Party
Wednesday, 19:00-20:00 (course or drop-in)
Where can you dance to Backstreet Boys one week and Enya the next? Where can you get your cardio by dancing to Blondie or the Baywatch Theme?
Join us for a mixture of freestyle, choreography and (not so) guilty pleasures, let’s raise the endorphins and Get This Party Started. No prior dance experience necessary. Led by Chris Stuart-Wilson

Morning Yoga
Thursdays, 07:30-08:30 (drop-in)
Our Vinyasa class uses elements of Ashtanga yoga to form an energising flow. Open to practitioners of all levels, there will be options and modifications to suit your individual practice. Start your week feeling strong in the body and calm in the mind with our Morning Yoga practice!

Morning Pilates
Thursdays, 7:45-08:45 (drop-in)
Join Sunrise Pilates, where you can enter the studio half asleep & be assured that by the time you leave you will be awake and energised for your day. We will gently wake up, open up, power up and by the end stand up ready to go about the day. This class is open to any and everyone, no matter your previous Pilates experience.

Evening Pilates
Thursdays, 19:30-20:30 (online drop-in)
This online class is suitable for anyone who has some experience already and wants to refine, challenge and develop their technique as well as working through some of the more advanced Pilates repertoire. Align yourself and wind down at the end of the day, in the comfort of your own home. Led by Amy Robertson.
