Early Years Projects

Early Years

Dance lets children move freely and expressively. Dancing together with your child can help build confidence and develop important motor and cognitive skills. Not only is this a great opportunity to do just that, but it is a chance to meet and socialise with other parents, grandparents and carers.

Using songs, movement and play, children are encouraged to move freely and expressively in this fun and energetic class. Working together with your child, you will stomp, jump, wriggle and giggle together, helping young dancers to develop balance and co-ordination in a creative and imaginative way.

Dance Base has been delivering Early Years sessions across communities in Edinburgh since 2009, at venues including Gate 55, Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre, Valley Park Community Centre and Clovenstone Community Education Centre.

We currently do not have the funds to continue or develop our Early Years work within the communities. However, if you are able to fund an Early Years, we would be delighted to deliver this for you, wherever you are in the city.
